Today, we met up with family friends Bart and Dick for a boat tour of Amsterdam through the canals.
We met Bart and Dick at their home to catch up and hop on their beautiful boat. We started the boat tour near the city center and went trough the many canals of the city (shown in the picture above). In the picture below, you can see the famous bridge with Amsterdam's crest near its arches.
We also boated past the famous Amstel Hotel.
From the water, we had a great view of the city. We could easily see big buildings like the Philips Headquarters and the Amsterdam water company (Waternet).
We could also see the countryside and a popular Dutch Windmill.
In the city, we could see many of the original Amsterdam structures. The building below, as you can see, was built in 1590.
We had a great time exploring the city on the boat. Thank you again Bart and Dick for the tour and hospitality!
After the tour, we returned to our hotel to swim in the rooftop pool. The pool overlooks Dam Square.
We finished the day at The Seafood Bar. This was some of the best seafood we have ever eaten.
