— 30 Days Around The World, Great Wall, China, Eggs Benedict — 1 min read
We started off the day with a nice breakfast at the hotel.
We then left the Beijing city and headed to The Great Wall. After an hour and a half drive, we arrived at the base of The Great Wall. Nick did some "negotiating" with the locals for trinkets before we took the tram to the top of the wall.
The wall is huge and goes on literally further than you can see. It was really interesting to see how the wall was constructed. We walked nine stations, over steps that varied greatly in size, before taking the speed slide back down.
For dinner, we met with Nick's very nice family friends Amanda and Anna. We tried traditional Beijing delicacies such as Peking Duck, duck liver, and sauteed prawns. We are very grateful for their hospitality!
