Recently I built my own 3D printer: The Ender 3 Pro. It has been a blast to model different items and print them. My tool of choice to create new files is Tinkercad from Autodesk. I used to use 123D create, but that seems to have been merged into some of their other product offerings. Thingiverse is still as great as ever for finding and sharing various STLs.
